UCB is looking for an Assistant Content Producer to oversee new and existing teaching content from external ministries for UCB 1 and UCB 2 together with the administration of new and existing God Spots.  Therefore, to be successful the candidate will require excellent interpersonal skills, be a gifted communicator both face to face and on the telephone and have a passion for good customer service. 

The candidate must be computer literate and have a keen eye and ear for detail, have good organisational and administration skills together with a positive can do attitude and the ability to prioritise a diverse and demanding but enjoyable role.

Systems & Database Administrator

This is an exciting and challenging role to help reinforce the IT function within our growing charity. The post holder will support Senior Management in the development, maintenance and monitoring of the database management system, operating systems and security policies and procedures ensuring that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly.

We are looking for someone who works well as part of a team and interacts effortlessly with others in order to resolve technical issues, so good communication and a strong customer focus is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in computer science or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience; have excellent problem-solving skills; good knowledge of Windows server operating systems, Hyper-V, SQL Server and the ability to write scripts to perform more bespoke administration and application tasks. On-call responsibility, on a rota basis, is an essential part of this role.

This position is based at our Hanchurch site in Stoke-on-Trent but travel to our Burslem site will also be necessary.

Salary: £35,000 - £39,000 pa depending on skill and experience. UCB also offers a range of employee benefits.

Freelance Radio Presenter
Location: Hanchurch, Stoke-on-Trent

Are you a Christian with significant experience as a music format radio presenter?

UCB is always interested to hear from freelance presenters who could provide occasional cover for various shows on UCB 1 or UCB 2.
The role could involve presenting live weekday programmes but would certainly include recording programmes during the week, as required.

A genuine interest and working knowledge of contemporary Christian music is vital.

Experience of the Zetta playout system would be useful but not essential, as training would be given.

You will be expected to adhere to United Christian Broadcasters’ vision and purpose and be a willing team player with a positive attitude.

The Broadcast Centre is close to Stoke-on-Trent (ST4 8RY) so you would need your own transport.

Receptionists (Casual basis only)

UCB’s Broadcast Centre has a lively and busy ‘front-of-house’ Reception desk. Our receptionist takes calls, answers queries, greets guests and assists with other administrative jobs, such as looking after the post and responding to listener’s emails and texts. It’s a busy and rewarding role and we’re looking to build up a bank of casual receptionists, who can be called on at short notice, to cover holiday or sickness cover. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule and will be able to work at very short notice. If you’re a natural ‘people person’ and can easily multi-task in a busy environment, this could be the ideal flexible role for you. If selected, we will add you to our roster of staff who can be called on, when needed.

UCB is looking for a volunteer to assist with administration within our busy Supporter Care department. As a volunteer in the Supporter Care Team, you will ensure an excellent service to supporters is provided over the telephone and via email or letter in order to meet customer requirements and expectations.

Communications Volunteer Administration Assistant

UCB is looking for a volunteer who can commit to half a day a week to assist with administration support within our busy Communications department, particularly within the areas of Mailings, Tour Days and Legacies. 

The role involves data checking, proof reading, writing letters to supporters, and inputting information onto a database, as well as general administration tasks.

We are looking for someone who is well organised, computer literate and has good communication skills; both written and verbal. Any necessary training will be given.

This position will be based at our offices in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent


 


Volunteer - Company Wide Positions
 
United Christian Broadcasters has some exciting opportunities for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about UCB and the work that we do. If you have a few hours to spare each week and want to get involved in helping advance God's Kingdom then we want to hear from you!

We currently have volunteer positions at both our Operations Centre in Burslem and Broadcasting Centre in Hanchurch. Our departments are diverse and require a range of people with different skills and abilities; you could be involved in tasks such as booking guests for a radio show, researching content for one of our publications, helping keep our buildings clean or packing material to be sent out to supporters.

We are looking for reliable volunteers who can contribute to the work of the ministry. If you have good communication skills, are well organised, reliable and can work independently or as a team player then come and get involved! Some roles will require volunteers who are computer literate or have good administration skills; whatever your abilities we would love to hear from you.
